I don’t think anyone tagged me but I’m doing it anyway….
Aprons – Y/N
Always. I am tired of grease splatters and spaghetti sauce on my shirts.
Baking – Favorite thing to bake:
Bread and cakes. I love to bake and decorate cakes.
Clothesline – Y/N?
Yes, but not in winter.
Donuts – Have you ever made them?
Not in ages. They tasted wonderful but did not look as pretty as the store bought variety.
Every day – One homemaking thing you do every day:
Scrub the kitchen counters.
Freezer – Do you have a separate deep freeze?
Yes, in the garage. I stock up on meat and bread on a regular basis.
Garbage Disposal – Y/N?
Handbook – What is your favorite homemaking resource?
I love Cheryl Mendelson’s Home Comforts.
Ironing – Love it or hate it?
When I have time I don’t mind doing it. Mostly it is just a pile evoking guilt though.
Junk drawer – Y/N? Where is it?
Kitchen. It’s filled with cords for the laptops, and miscellaneous junk.
Kitchen: Design & Decorating?
French country-ish. The walls are a deep olive green and the accents are a dark barn red. There are some roosters and red toile going on. I use the Country Door catalog alot.
Love – What is your favorite part of homemaking?
Cooking. I wish I had more time to do it more creatively.
Mop – Y/N?
Nylons – Wash by hand or in the washing machine?
I mostly wear tights, in the washer on the gentle cyle, no dryer.
Oven – Do you use the window or open the oven to check?
Pizza – What do you put on yours?
Meatball, sausage and if I were allowed black olives. No one else likes them.
Quiet – What do you do during the day when you get a quiet moment?
I’ll let you know when it happens.
Recipe card box – Y/N?
I have a cookbook addiction. One day I will seek help. I also use the interet a great deal and I have an MS word file of recipes. I also have a binder. I would like to scrapbook it all someday.
Style of house –
Tablecloths and napkins – Y/N?
Cloth tablecloths and paper napkins. Unless there is company or it’s a holiday then cloth napkins and pretty beaded napkin rings.
Under the kitchen sink – Organized or toxic wasteland?
A little of both.
Vacuum – How many times per week?
Everyday on the main floor and the basement. Every two/three days bedrooms.
Wash – How many loads of laundry do you do per week?
Four a day to keep up.
X’s – Do you keep a daily list of things to do that you cross off?
Yard – Y/N? Who does what?
We have a gardener do the mowing, raking and edging. I do the planting and the planning and Dave and the kids do whatever I ask.
Zzz’s – What is your last homemaking task for the day before going to bed?
Clean up the kitchen and wipe the counters. I hate to get up and face a mess in the kitchen.
