As we stood for the Gospel this morning Kelli began frantically yanking on my skirt. "Mommy!" she hissed in the loudest stage whisper ever. I bent down to hear her.
Very slowly enunciating every word this was the urgent message…
"There is no such thing as a giant chicken that can eat you."
It took me a minute to process this.
"OK," I said, "now it’s time to listen."
She nodded her head and behaved beautifully for the rest of Mass. That itself was worth listening to some giant chicken information.
