Erin is finishing up all of the projects to get ready for her big day tomorrow. She will receive communion for the first time at the 10:00 am Mass and she is very excited. She has worked really hard all year and it has been a wonderful experience for us both.
First off, a little bragging. She was the only one in her CCD class to get 100 on her final exam. This is even more funy because she didn’t actually attend CCD. She had to go to one class before her first penance and then show up for the last class to take the test.
Here she is pictured with the First Communion Banner that we made together. This was a kit from Illuminated Ink. I can’t say enough about how nicely it came together. My only tip would be to use hot glue rather than white when gluing the wheat on the banner.
We also blantantly stole borrowed the Baptism Candle Holder idea from the lovely Dawn and her wonderful son.
Her first communion book is already and full. We had such a wonderful time doing this together and we could have gone on and on with it. Here is a sampling in no particular order:
Forgive the really poor photography. I will re-take the pictures and include all of thepages in an album in my sidebar next week.
Please say a pray for my sweet little one tomorrow!!

What a beautiful job! This is wonderful! Congratulations and hugs to Erin on her very special day! (We used the tacky craft glue on Joseph’s banner and it seems to be holding up pretty well…)
Give Erin our best!! She is in our prayers!
