What do you do on Ascension Day when you are stuck inside with a sick kid? You do all things domestic.
So today I continued with my "beefing up breakfast" obsession. I started with this.
I used yogurt, blueberries and milk to make smoothies and then poured them into pops. A few hours later this. We also used strawberries and blackberries. What a cool mom! Frozen pops for breakfast. SSSHHH don’t tell them that they are healthy!
Then I made a skirt for Katie in a pretty Asian print that she liked. Then I dug around my stash and sound a yard of a pretty polished cotton. So Erin received a new skirt as well.
Mollie Katzen’s Cherry Vanilla muffins. Then I made up some snack mix to replenish the dance, soccer, karate and diaper bags.
I love domestic days. Catching up in the house and enjoying the more creative arts in homekeeping. Hopefully, the garden will be next.

Yummy! Those muffins look excellent. I’m a sucker for a good muffin in the morning. And smoothies should be their own food group. You ARE a cool mom to freeze and serve for breakfast. Now my kids will want ’em!

Everything sounds so yummy, Mary Ellen! Domestic days are the best.
I hope your little one feels better soon. 🙂
