We’ve been reading a lot of nursery rhymes lately. Kevin tends to be distracted during reading time and I’m never quite sure if he’s absorbing anything.
I discovered during prayer time last night that he is, in fact, listening. In the evening after our family prays together each of the children ask for the intercession of a saint. They usually pick their patron or name saint. So Katie will say "St. Catherine, pray for us" and so on.
Last night Kevin chimes in
"St. Peter," a bit of a pause – then really fast, "picked a peck of pickled peppers….pray for us."
I can only hope St. Peter has a sense of humor.

This is hysterical, thanks for a good laugh!

That is hilarious and I’m sure St. Peter wouldn’t mind a bit. Too cute!
