Our family rosary night was being held at another family’s house. Since those not hosting generally bring a dessert offering I had the perfect treat. Dawn had posted this amazing looking Hot Fudge Cake recipe Friday afternoon. I had all the ingredients on hand so I tried it.
Oh my.
I mean really. Oh my.
I doubled the recipe because my slow cooker is a siz quart model. This was wonderful. The chocolate aroma that filled the house promised great things and boy did this cake deliver. I just brought the ceramic insert to our friend’s house all warm and cozy, she popped it in her slow cooker and it kept on the warm setting beautifully until after prayers. I made some homemade whipped cream to dollop on top.
A room full of children, the rosary being prayed faithfully, if noisily, the aroma of chocolate and sweet singing and praising. Heaven rejoiced.
Thank you Dawn.
