I just wanted to let you know that Castle Ugly is one of my very favorite books. Ever. I am an avid reader (actually have a room converted into a library in my house!) and my hardcover copy is in a special place, next to John Irving’s A Prayer for Owen Meany and To Kill a Mockingbird. I save C.U. for the first day of summer; I’ve read it so many times that the paper cover is in tatters! I cry every time and know it almost by heart. Thank you for such a wonderful, rich story.
