about these absolutely darling packages of sprinkles. Yes, sprinkles. That’s how little it takes to get me excited these days.
While spending the weekend in Pennsylvania we stopped at a cute little town called Intercourse. There were all kinds of country village type shops and a place called The Old Candle Barn where I could have spent several happy hours.
The children had great fun at The Intercourse Pretzel Factory where they took a tour and made pretzels. While they did that I shopped and spent a surprisingly large amount of money on homemade Pennsylvania Dutch noodles, homemade pretzels and these sprinkles. They had so many to choose from that keeping it to six was difficult. I picked (starting from the left on the top); autumn leaves, Christmas light bulbs, big red hearts, race car sprinkles, pumpkins, and snowflakes.
How cute is that? Now if the temp would dip below 95 degrees I would bake some cookies to go with my fancy new sprinkles.

No cookies necessary. They’re also great on ICE CREAM!
Enjoy 🙂

Mary Ellen, your sprinkles are lovely! We have a little country store by our house here in the burbs of Lancaster county and they sell all sorts including pigs and cows. Guess I’ll have to drop you a little care package for Christmas. 🙂

I understand the excitement. I have a rather large collection of unique sprinkles of my own.
I have even added an assortment of sprinkles to birthday presents because I think they are just that fun.

Oh my goodness…that is one of my favorite places ever! I used to roam the town with a friend that lived in Harrisburg. The peach bread from a Mennonite bakery was my favorite!
