Today's field trip was to the Brooklyn Museum of Art to see the James Tissot exhibit. It was The Life of Christ in Watercolors. 350 of them and it was amazing.

The Betrothal of Mary and Joseph. This was truly beautiful but I couldn't really capture it because the security guard was freaking out about how close I was.

Anyone who has ever parked in Manhattan or Brooklyn will appreciate this one. This my friends is the perfect parallel park. In one move I put a 12 passenger van in between two other cars. In traffic. Without hitting anything. Right in front of the museum. This is the urban holy grail. I had to take a picture. Actually several pictures. Then I didn't really want to move the car – it was so perfect. Then Chris told me to get over it and get in the car.
Sigh.
A lovely field trip indeed. A bit much for the twins but the older kids loved it. Now I must get off the laptop and get ready for Friday Night rosary, it's at the Bonny Blue House tonight.
Have a blessed evening.

Bravo!!!
You get a standing ovation from me!
A dear friend of mine was telling me that when they went to visit family in Brooklyn, his wife was parallel parking their super van in a super tight spot and 2 elderly ladies on the sidewalk were commenting…sigh! “she’ll never make it”
…to which her dh replied…”oh yea? Just WATCH her! and stood back proudly with a big grin and his arms crossed.
She did it so effortlessly and when they saw the calm, collected 5ft2 little woman emerge from said van, they applauded her. To which her dh replied: That’s my girl!! ;o) LOL

Child family is not very wealthy, to have a nice pair of red shoes, has been a very happy thing.
