Isn't the weather lovely? I hope everyone is getting a chance to get outside and enjoy some warmth. I updated some of my book lists in the store today (right sidebar). A few people had emailed me (thank you for your interest) about my Story of the World lists. I will be adding to them as we work through the spine. I use SOTW as a basic guide and we love the Jim Weiss audio version, so convenient for car-schooling, but I realize that it has a protestant world view and coming up soon I will be teaching the Reformation without using SOTW's texts. I will supplement with The Old World and America and living books. Right now we are finishing up China and we will begin Russia shortly. I love history.
I also loaded up some fun living math books on their. In the early grades I spend a lot of time reading Stuart J. Murphy books. It makes math a living thing. Kelli loves the books and after reading Tally O'Malley to her last summer she began tallying everything she could think of in earnest. She was never without a pencil and a pile of post-it notes.
So the store exists to have a place to organize my lists and to show people how we do things around here. I own all of the books on the lists, so far, which may seem crazy. It's a lot of books. You have to remember that I am still in the beginning of this homeschooling journey, I have lots of babies and I am in this for the long haul. I think of the books as an investment. Any money I make from the store goes right back to books. I do urge you to try the library first to see if a book will work with your children. Why sepnd money on something you won't use? Spend it on books you will use and then if there are left overs buy cute shoes. That's my plan. :).
Happy reading dear readers and thank you for your support.

Thank you Mary Ellen for these lists. I am always looking for quality stories (especially in history) to add to our library.
We use a combination of SOTW, RC history and A Little History of the World by E.H Gombrich. So any help with the book selection is very much appreciated.
God bless

Retro full of Mary Jane shoes, with a pair of socks, very academic temperament, is a great mix of the A-line dress.
