We have been hunkering down here at the Bonny Blue House. Several projects in the works, tons of school work to accomplish, and the nasty weather have conspired to keep the blogging at bay.
We have been spending a lot of time by the fire and gathering with friends. The girls are gearing up for the annual Shakespeare production, they both have small parts in Romeo and Juliet so we are reading and studying that play.
Valentines Day marked the six month anniversary of Ryan's death. Six months in and I am still listening for his step and looking for him at the dinner table. This Lent has been less "crafty" and child centered than in the past and more prayerful and mindful. I just can't bring myself to do all the things I've done in the past. I've tried to instead offer up my Lent for vocations to the Holy Priesthood. I think Ryan likes that.
A project very dear to my heart is coming together nicely. I've blogged before about the Friar Suppliers and now thanks to the fabulously talented Michelle we have a beautiful website. The Friar Suppliers work to supply food to the Franciscan Friars and Sisters of the Renewal freeing them to focus on their mission to the poor. The Friars and Sisters live entirely by God's providence and our help to them allows them the freedom to do the work of God without the worry of being hungry.
The website is still a work in progress, I'm putting new things on there as I can, so check back frequently. If you have any pictures of the CFRs you would like to share please email me.
Right now March is deceptively lamb-ish but it won't last, another snow fall is predicted (sheesh) however I am hopeful that spring will start to show itself soon. Meantime I am dreaming of picnics on the beach and summer skirts.
Have a blessed day!
