Saturday was spent puttering around.
Eggnog Muffins for breakfast
Another fire. Actually it didn't stop all weekend.
A nicely set table for Saturday dinner. Roast chicken, stuffing, mashed potatoes, carrots and peas. Good cold weather comfort food.
Comfy soft throw on my comfy chair. Train on the table is just a bonus. It's Percy just so you know.
New (to me) lamp and frame from the thrift store, total expenditure $5.
What domesticity is making you happy this weekend?

I made homemade buttermilk biscuits and cooked a ham with green beans and potatoes today. I’m not generally fond of cooking but becoming more so because the response of my family is wonderful. We have a fire going pretty much all the time (propane heat stove –easy peasy) and we’re knitting and sewing regularly. Feeling very domestic these days. 🙂

We don’t have a fireplace, but I did have a wonderful scented cranberry-something candle lit in our kitchen most of the weekend. Chocolate-chip muffins for breakfast this morning; I wore a heavy cardigan sweater to Mass. Herbed bagged chicken for dinner tonight, pasta and mixed vegetables… the house smells lovely! Have a great week, Mary Ellen! (Keep that house cozy for our next snowstorm!)
