Thinking, what a glorious birthday he is celebrating with Jesus today. I love you, Mary Ellen. Extra prayers for you all today. And a big, tight virtual hug.
Thinking of your loss often as we have a son the same age. Prayers for all who miss him! Eyes have not seen, ear has not heard, what God has ready for those who love Him. . .

Oh Mary Ellen, I’ll bet you do. What a sweet face! I don’t think I’ve ever seen that photo.
I think of (and pray for) your family so often. With as crazy-busy as our lives can be, I like to consider that eternal reunion where it won’t be a quick hug & conversation at a homeschooling conference and where we won’t lose our dearest ones to the pain of death.
It’s that second one that gives me GREAT hope.
Your cross is heavy, dear friend–heavy like Our Lord’s was. Yet I know that the graces correspond to the weight of the cross, should we embrace it, and I see how you HAVE embraced it by the good that you do and the joy (even in suffering) that you radiate.
I can’t wait to see you all again someday.
God bless you all. You have been so honest about both the pain and the consolations. Ryan will always be your family’s personal saint, watching out for you from heaven. May he pray for all of us!
