Well she's been and gone and was kind of a blowsy, noisy guest. She left a mess in the yard but, thankfully, no water in the house.
We fared very well considering how some of our neighbors did, there is a lot of tree damage around here. We were all so concerned about the water but the wind ended up being the bigger story in my neighborhood. Other neighborhoods here in our village had both.
It's hard to take pictures of wind. 🙂 Especially when the door won't open.
If you can see the pool,it came near to overflowing but it was pretty full from the previous ten days of rain we've had.
The end of my block.

Today dawned bright and beautiful with the sound of chain saws and generators filling the air. It's sunny with a light breeze, perfect weather for raking and making piles of kindling to be used this winter. Daddy is working from home because the railroad is still making repairs and getting themselves together. We are delighted to have him.
I hope your day is filled with post-storm happiness.

I’m ever thankful the storm bypassed Florida. I got notice my homeowner’s insurance was cancelled. Why? Because when my original lender referred my mortgage to a servicing company, someone failed to notify the insurance company of who was to get the bill.
I feel bad for those impacted by the storm though. I’ve weathered a couple of those nasty storms who get named: Bertha, Fran, Josephine, et al. It’s not a lot of fun unless you actually like that camping gig. (which I don’t)
