Thank you

To all of you who have covered my family in prayer over the last few weeks.  For those that don't know my dear mom passed away on October 29th. Four days after her 65th birthday. 

My mom had been deterioting from dementia for a few years but it was a staph pnuemonia that she could not fight that carried her home to God.

Mom died after an eight day battle, she received Extreme Unction three times and her last breath was taken with my dad's hand over her heart and my brother and I each holding her hands.  It is fitting that this woman who lived for her church and her family should leave this world in the hands of those who loved her beyond measure and in a state of grace she earned through some mighty suffering.

I will always miss her. She gave me everything. Every good thing I have ever said, done or accomplished is a credit to her selfless parenting and loving heart. If I can be half as good a mom as she was, I'll call it good.

So these last few days we have been putting our lives back together. Getting back into routines that were abandoned to spend her remaining days with her in another state. I hope to share some of the nice things we have been doing in the coming days.
