I've never joined the mothers and daughters at Like Mother, Like Daughter for their Thursday link up but I am a HUGE fan of the blog so I think it's about time.
Pretty….
The dopey meter isn't pretty but I am absurdly happy about my mulch. I have been after my husband for years to let me order a few yards of mulch and spread it in the front flower beds but he is mulch resistant for some reason. He thinks it's good for the kids to weed. I do to except they don't actually get around to it much. So this year he caved and I ordered. It's so neat and clean looking and smells all woodsy.
I include this under pretty because to me it is, but it's also a little funny. St. Francis refuses to stay upright. Dave wants to know what I give him to drink since I right him every morning and he's listing to the left by late afternoon.
That is my beloved pink peony bush. Some years it's a bit of a dud and other years it blooms riotously. On those years we usually get a violent nor'easter ten minutes after it blooms. I'll show you pictures when it pops, usually in early June.

This was an evening trip to the library on Tuesday. Sans little people. They were happy, I was happy and the librarians were happy enough to forgive a large chunk of fines I owed.

She was breaking her own pogo record of over three hundred hops. Maybe I'm the only one who thinks it's funny but the wacky helmet on Kevin (it does fit, it's just got style, I'm told) and the weird pogo pose just sums us up around here. We go our way.
