TV is kind of a pit, isn't it? Other than some BBC America shows there really wasn't anything worth watching at all.
Until now.
It's not on TV but it should be, and hopefully someday, will be. Right now you can view Ordinary for free on Vimeo and if I were you I would take advantage.
Ordinary is a half hour show about the life and times of Fr. Anderson. It's funny, it's real, it's well written and the camera work is excellent. It lacks the saccharine sensiblity that people come to expect from religious programming and treats it's characters as real people trying to live real lives in a real world. For all that it's not too serious. The characters are quirky and orginial and right away I'm invloved.
Now, full disclosure, A dear friend and her family comprise half the cast so I was inclined to be in favor of the production. Still, it's pretty darn funny and I think you will be happy you spent a half hour watcihng it.
The director and writer, Timothy Quigley II is a young filmaker who is passionate about both his work and his faith. He's also talented which makes Ordinary something you should get in on right away. I look forward to watching these characters grow and delvelop and I look forward to changing the face of entertainment one passionate, talented cast at a time. We should all try to be part of this great work.
Click here to view Ordinary and do it today because the next episode airs tomorrow. If you like what you see, at the bottom of the video you can "leave a tip" which would help the production continue.
